Volunteer Coordinator who is part of the Activities Dept

Wednesday 19 September, 2018

As a Volunteer Coordinator who is part of the Activities Dept., I can tell you that many volunteers use the Fishwrapper to read to residents who cannot read. I also know that sometimes an activity assistant will pick a theme and will read Fishwrapper stories related to that theme to residents as part of the regular 10 a.m or 2 p.m. daily activity conducted on each of our 7 floors. With over 400 residents, so many here who are able to read find the Fishwrapper stories quite comical, inspiring, encouraging, and it helps them pass the time. All our staff enjoy reading Fishwrapper too! Thank you for helping to keep our residents happy!”

I have to tell you

Wednesday 19 September, 2018

I have to tell you - we have a group of plain people who moved to Wayne Co and they often make trips to your area and pick up your publication. I happen to do business with one of them for items to put in our gift shop and they were totally shocked to see our ad in the Fishwrapper. In just the few months that we have been advertising with you we have had more interest than some publications that we advertised in for a year.

I so very much look forward to grabbing a copy each time I go to visit Lancaster County. This publication is so uplifting. I share it with many and I am delighted to now find it regularly on the web.

Whenever we travel to Pennsylvania, I always try to locate the Fishwrapper. I know that I'll keep them for as along as I can. On our latest trip, I happened to come upon your Volume 2, hence this current order for both Volumes 1 and 3. From another website, I ordered a complete set for our Pastor. He loved seeing my copy. Thank you for having Christianity in a local paper.

Jak's Diner

Sunday 12 February, 2017

In the last couple of years, I began walking to Jak's Diner in Topton, PA early Saturday morning for breakfast. I have found it to be good exercise, as it is about eight miles round trip, and a stress reliever, as the walk is on country roads, and during the rest of the week, I work in law enforcement. Breakfast at Jak's is both delicious and fairly priced, but what makes it even better is when I notice the new issue of The Fishwrapper sitting there, waiting to be read. I appreciate the Christian-oriented content, so it feeds me just as much, if not more, than the food itself. Thank you and God bless!
